MDI Gurgaon Hosts Impactful Environmental Felicitation Programme

  • CERO@MDI Gurgaon and Paryavaran Sangrakshan Gatividhi (PSG) collaborated for an impactful environmental awareness and felicitation programme at MDI Gurgaon

The Centre for Ethics, Responsible Organisations & ESG Initiatives (CERO@MDI Gurgaon) joined hands with Paryavaran Sangrakshan Gatividhi (PSG) to host a significant environmental awareness and felicitation programme at MDI Gurgaon.

The PSG Gurugram Team provided valuable insights into PSG’s commitment to environmental conservation, focusing on tree plantation, water conservation and reducing polythene usage. Rupamanjari Sinha Ray, also a CERO member and Professor in the Economics and Public Policy Area at MDI Gurgaon, introduced CERO, outlining its objectives in promoting ethics and responsible initiatives.

The Keynote Address delivered by Subhash Goyal, Convenor, PSG Haryana, shared invaluable insights into the organisation’s endeavours towards environmental sustainability. Stressing the importance of environmental conservation.

Special Guest Dr Prodyut Bhattacharya, former Dean, Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi, reiterated the need for community involvement in environmental conservation and highlighted the importance of incorporating environment-friendly practices in infrastructure development.

Dr RC Mishra, DGP, IPS, the Chief Guest, emphasised the significance of collective efforts in preserving the environment, discussing the impact of the environment on human and animal health.

The programme provided a platform for participants to share their experiences on environmental impact. Experts like Dr Jayati Talapatra discussed biodiversity and waste management, while Mohit Sharma, Chief Warden, Civil Defence, Gurugram, shared insights on promoting environmental conservation.

Vikas Sharma, Convenor, PSG Gurugram, expressed gratitude towards MDI, CERO and Tanuja Sharma, Lead CERO, for their collaboration.
