TAPMI Welcomes the Second Batch of the Integrated Management Programme

T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), one of India’s premier B-schools with the prestigious double crown accreditation (AACSB, AMBA), hosted the induction program for Integrated Management Program (IPM), batch 2024-29 batch today at the campus. TAPMI welcomed the 2nd batch of their Integrated Program in Management with an in-depth orientation session and parents and faculty interaction.

The event was graced by the Chief Guest and TAPMI alumni (2002-2004 TAPMI Batch), Mr. Avinash Bhat, Global Delivery Head for Customer Experience and Data & Analytics at Randstad Digital. The event also saw the presence of Prof. Rajeev Kumra, Director of TAPMI and Prof. Gururaj Kidiyoor, Dean of Academics at TAPMI.

Addressing the new batch, Prof. Rajeev Kumra, Director, TAPMI said, “I would like to congratulate IPM’s incoming batch on embarking on a new journey. The next five years at TAPMI will be a transformative experience that goes beyond professional education. It’s an investment in your personal and professional growth, shaping you into exceptional individuals and skilled managers. You’ve earned your place here through hard work and dedication; now, it’s our turn to nurture your potential. While academic excellence is crucial, remember that your physical and mental well-being are equally important. Embrace opportunities to participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, join clubs and committees, and explore your passions. Resist peer pressure, which can be intense at your age. Together, we’ll create an experience that equips you with the knowledge, skills, and character to make a meaningful impact on the world.”

Speaking at the event, the Chief Guest of the event, Mr. Avinash Bhat, Global Delivery Head for Customer Experience and Data & Analytics at Randstad Digital recounted his fond memories at the institute and said, “Congratulations to all of you, you’ve joined a fantastic program. You are in the right place. Ensure that you study a lot, ensure that you get your fundamentals right, and you will all be in a really great place. Try to excel, at a certain point, unless you excel you get left behind so focus hard, observe and learn. Learn from your failures and mistakes. Stay true to your ethics and integrity and you will all do well.”

With a strong focus on the mental well being and care for the students, the incoming batch was introduced to the student counseling facilities on campus along with the other facilities, academic ethos and programme structure.

Prof. Vasanth Kamath, Admissions Chair, TAPMI presented the batch profile to the gathering. The strong batch of 66 students has an almost equal gender distribution with 44.7% female students and 55.3% male students. The batch welcomes students across streams with 52.2% of the batch coming from the science stream, 40.3% from the commerce stream and 7.5% from Arts and Humanities. The current batch of students has diverse representation from 15 states and 30+ cities across the country.
