- IIM Lucknow hosts the Annual International Research Conference (AIRC) & Doctoral Workshop to facilitate knowledge exchange on the evolving landscape of business in the digital age
Indian Institute of Management Lucknow recently concluded its impactful 3-day Annual International Research Conference (AIRC) & Doctoral Workshop 2023, held from 15th to 17th December 2023. Research scholars from various countries, including India, Australia, Norway, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam, attended the conference, exchanging thought-provoking ideas and discussing issues in various business functions and domains of management.
The conference, titled ‘Transforming Business and Management in the Digital Age,’ featured speakers from various universities discussing contemporary business strategies. Keynote speakers were Sandeep Purao from Bentley University, Alok Gupta from the University of Minnesota, Manish K. Srivastava from Michigan Tech University, Cheryl Wachenheim from North Dakota State University, Dr Subhash Jha from the University of Memphis, Rashmi Jain from Montclair University and Dr Swanand J. Deodhar from IIM Ahmedabad.
“Learning has no shortcuts in today’s world which is why it is important to have rigour in one’s methodology and processes when it comes to research. There is no fast-track way to becoming a researcher and one needs to invest time and practice self-discipline”, Archana Shukla, Director, IIM Lucknow, emphasised.
The event covered ten technical sessions to get insights on ever-evolving business landscapes in domains such as Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Information Technology, Decision Sciences and Economics.

“The pandemic has led to a surge in individual contributions to business and policy, influenced by digital age transformations. The conference kicks off with diverse research paper submissions, showcasing exceptional insights and awarding outstanding contributions”, Pradeep Kumar, Convenor of AIRC 2023, noted.
Global participants presented their doctoral work to senior academicians and received support for further publication. Over 100 research papers were submitted, fostering a rich exchange of ideas and helping identify relevant research problems.
IIM Lucknow hosts an annual conclave to analyse national and global trends in management and policy activities, focusing on effective corporate operations and societal well-being for economic growth.
