The project also enabled students to understand how to creatively utilize the possibilities of the new era by integrating design and technology. The mascot was digitally transformed through augmented reality by second-year students of B.A. Interactive Game Art, Design & Development, allowing users to experience the mascot in real-world settings through their mobile phones.

The AR-based mascot created by the students were jointly unveiled by KMRL Managing Director Lokanath Behera, Jain University Director of New Initiatives Dr. Tom Joseph, Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr. Latha, and former Indian Ambassador to the Netherlands and Chairman of the Future Kerala Mission, Prof. Venu Rajamani.

Praising the students’ creativity, Lokanath Behera announced that these lucky madcot would be showcased at select Kochi Metro stations to engage and delight passengers. This initiative not only helps establish a unique identity for Kochi Metro’s services but also promotes local culture, delivers information in an engaging format, and showcases student-led innovation.

The project stands as a great example of collaboration between academia, public institutions, and the industry. The AR mascots will soon be available for public interaction at select metro stations transforming daily commutes into immersive experiences where technology meets creativity.
