- PwC India launches the Aspiring Women Leaders Scholarship for women engineering students at selected IITs, NITs, BITS Pilani and KIIT. It covers academic fees and offers laptops, mentorship, workshops and career opportunities.
PwC India launches the Aspiring Women Leaders Scholarship to support women pursuing engineering degrees at selected institutions, including the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), BITS Pilani and Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT). The initiative aims to improve access to technical education and strengthen women’s representation in India’s technology workforce.
The scholarship initially targets eligible women entering the second year of Bachelor of Technology (BTech) and Bachelor of Engineering (BE) programmes at participating institutions. It covers the remaining duration of their undergraduate degrees, with plans to extend the initiative to first-year students in subsequent years.
The scholarship provides full coverage of academic fees for selected candidates. Beneficiaries also receive laptops, mentorship and access to technical workshops designed to strengthen their professional and technical capabilities.
The programme further offers opportunities for voluntary internships and pre-placement engagement with PwC India, subject to eligibility. These benefits aim to help students gain industry exposure, develop practical skills and prepare for careers in technology and related fields. The initiative places particular emphasis on supporting women from modest economic backgrounds, helping reduce financial barriers to engineering education.
The participating institutions include IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, NIT Tiruchirappalli, BITS Pilani and KIIT. The programme seeks to create opportunities for women studying at these institutions and encourage their progression into technology-related careers.
The selection process involves multiple stages, beginning with eligibility screening, followed by an online assessment and panel interviews. PwC India leaders and external experts participate in the evaluation, while final selections are made in consultation with the participating institutions.
Candidates should confirm the applicable eligibility conditions, required documents and application procedures through the official scholarship information channels.
PwC India positions the scholarship as part of its broader Vision 2030 commitment to developing a skilled and future-ready workforce. The initiative reflects the company’s focus on expanding educational opportunities, promoting diversity and strengthening the pipeline of women professionals in technology.
By combining financial assistance with mentoring, technical learning and career exposure, the scholarship aims to help women engineering students build the capabilities required to succeed in an evolving digital economy.
