- DRDO’s CASDIC invites applications for 30 six-month paid internships for final-year B.E./B.Tech and second-year M.Sc students. Selected interns receive ₹5,000 monthly, with applications closing on October 11, 2026.
The Combat Aircraft Systems Development and Integration Centre (CASDIC), a laboratory under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), invites applications for its 2026 paid internship programme. The six-month internship is open to eligible B.E./B.Tech and M.Sc Students, with the application deadline set for October 11, 2026.
A total of 30 internship positions are available across three broad technical areas. The programme offers 12 positions in Electrical, Electronics and Communication, and Electronics and Telecommunication disciplines. Another 13 positions are available for Computer Science and Information Technology, while Mechanical Engineering accounts for five positions.
The internship is open to students in the final year of a B.E./B.Tech programme and those pursuing the second year of an M.Sc course. Engineering candidates are required to have a minimum cumulative CGPA of 7.5 across all previous semesters, while M.Sc applicants must secure at least 70 per cent marks in their first-year examination.
Applicants must be enrolled in full-time programmes at colleges or universities recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or the University Grants Commission (UGC). Candidates must also be below 25 years of age to qualify for the internship.
The internship is conducted for a period of six months. Selected students receive a monthly stipend of ₹5,000, subject to completing at least 15 working days at the laboratory each month. The stipend is released in two instalments, with payments made after completion of three months and at the end of the six-month internship.
Candidates are selected based on their previous academic performance and may be required to participate in an online interview or interaction as part of the selection process. Interested students are required to complete the prescribed internship application form and submit it as instructed by CASDIC.
Eligible candidates must complete the application process before October 11, 2026. The opportunity provides students from relevant engineering and science disciplines with practical exposure to research and technical activities within a DRDO laboratory.
