Nagaland University Opens FYUGP BSc Honours Admissions 2026

  • Nagaland University has opened applications for its FYUGP BSc Honours and Honours with Research programmes for 2026–27. Admissions are based on CUET UG scores, with applications accepted until July 15.

Nagaland University has commenced the admission process for its Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) in BSc Honours and Honours with Research for the 2026–27 academic sessions. The university is inviting applications from eligible candidates through its online admission portal, with admissions being conducted on the basis of CUET UG 2026 scores. Interested applicants can submit their applications until July 15, 2026.

The university is offering undergraduate programmes in five science disciplines Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Zoology under the FYUGP framework introduced in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Students can choose between the Honours and Honours with Research tracks, enabling them to pursue advanced academic learning and research-oriented education during their undergraduate studies.

To be eligible for admission, candidates must have successfully completed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board and possess a valid CUET UG 2026 scorecard. Applicants must also satisfy the programme-specific eligibility criteria prescribed by the university. Failure to meet these requirements may result in the rejection of the application.

The online application process requires candidates to register on the university’s admission portal using a valid email address and mobile number. Applicants must complete the application form, upload the necessary documents including their CUET UG scorecard, Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets, passport-size photograph, signature, identity proof, and category certificate, where applicable and pay the prescribed application fee before submitting the form.

Following the closure of the application window, the university is expected to release a list of shortlisted candidates based on CUET UG performance and eligibility requirements. Selected applicants will then be required to complete the admission formalities, including document verification and fee payment, within the stipulated schedule announced by the university.

The FYUGP curriculum is designed to provide students with a multidisciplinary learning experience while incorporating research opportunities during the undergraduate programme. The Honours with Research option is intended for students interested in pursuing advanced studies or research careers, allowing them to undertake research projects under faculty supervision in their final year.

By adopting CUET UG-based admissions, Nagaland University continues to align its admission process with the national framework for undergraduate education. The initiative aims to ensure transparency, merit-based selection, and wider access for students from across the country while strengthening science education and research under the NEP 2020 framework.
