The School of Commerce, SVKM’s NMIMS Chandigarh successfully organised ThinkLeap 2.0: From Idea to Impact, its flagship Business Plan Presentation Event, in collaboration with Innovation Mission Punjab and InnoventureLabs Entrepreneurship Development Cell, on 1st April 2026 at the Auditorium, NMIMS Chandigarh Campus.
Curated around the compelling theme “Reimagining Business Models for Sustainable Economy”, the event served as an inspiring academic and experiential platform for students to demonstrate their entrepreneurial mindset, strategic foresight, and innovative thinking through dynamic business plan presentations.
The event was led by Dr. Deepa Guleria, Assistant Professor, School of Commerce, NMIMS Chandigarh, whose efforts played a pivotal role in conceptualising and organising the programme. The event was further graced by the presence of Dr. Parul Grover Mahajan, Program Chairperson, School of Commerce, NMIMS Chandigarh, along with faculty members CA Kunal Pasari, Assistant Professor, CA Pankaj Kapoor, Assistant Professor, Dr. Ankita Bhardwaj, Assistant Professor, and Dr. Vanita Sharma, Assistant Professor, School of Commerce, NMIMS Chandigarh.
ThinkLeap 2.0 was thoughtfully designed to celebrate and critically engage with the entrepreneurial and innovative capabilities of students, particularly those of the third year, as they presented business models aligned with contemporary global challenges and evolving industry needs. The event underscored the institution’s commitment to nurturing future-ready business leaders through experiential learning and industry exposure.
The programme was evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges and industry experts, including:

During the competition, students presented detailed and innovative business ideas, covering critical aspects such as market research, business model development, pricing strategy, targeted market approach, revenue models, sales channels, and go-to-market strategy. Their presentations reflected a thoughtful blend of creativity, analytical rigour, and practical business relevance.
The judges actively engaged with the participants by posing insightful and thought-provoking questions, encouraging students to critically evaluate and defend their ideas. This interactive exchange offered students invaluable industry perspectives and significantly enriched the overall learning experience.
Beyond the presentations, the event was further elevated through expert interactions and curated networking opportunities, fostering meaningful dialogue, interdisciplinary learning, and stronger industry–academia collaboration.
ThinkLeap 2.0 emerged as a vibrant platform where ideas met execution and innovation was assessed through the lens of sustainability, feasibility, and impact. The event successfully inspired students to think beyond conventional business frameworks and develop entrepreneurial solutions relevant to the demands of a rapidly evolving economy.
