- International awards aim to expand access, reduce costs and support high-achieving students for 2026 and 2027 intakes
Students planning to pursue higher education abroad can now access a range of scholarships offering significant tuition fee reductions and financial support for upcoming academic intakes. The initiative is designed to improve affordability, expand access to global education and support high-achieving students across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
UNSW Sydney on Monday announced a comprehensive scholarship framework for international students, including those from India, for the 2026 and 2027 intakes, which includes full and partial tuition fee waivers, annual financial grants and merit-based awards. Eligible students can receive up to a 20 per cent reduction in tuition fees, along with additional financial support depending on the scholarship category.
The scholarships include full tuition fee coverage under select awards, while others offer partial support such as AUD 20,000 per annum for the duration of the programme. Additional awards include one-time grants of AUD 10,000 and merit-based fee reductions. Eligible students will also be automatically considered for certain awards upon receiving an admission offer, while others require a separate scholarship application.
The scholarships are open to international students applying to eligible undergraduate and postgraduate coursework programmes for the minimum duration of their chosen course.
Applicants for major scholarships must submit an admission application, register for a scholarship account and complete the online scholarship application within the deadline. Some awards also require a personal statement outlining the applicant’s motivation and academic goals. The deadline for the 2026 intake is 22 April 2026, while timelines for other awards may vary.
