IMS Noida Launches Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyan Under the Campaign ‘UDAAN’ in association with Shining Souls Trust

Institute of Management Studies, Noida, in collaboration with Shining Souls (Trust), launched the first campaign of “Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyan,” falling under 100 DAYS-10 CAMPAIGNS -1 CAUSE “UDAAN” Unite to Defeat Addiction And Nurture Lives. This effective campaign was held from 10th February 2025 to 12th February 2025 at IMS- Noida, Sector-62, Noida with the aim to motivate youth toward a healthier drug-free life.

The campaign ceremony was graced by several big dignitaries such as Pro. (Dr.) Vikas Dhawan, Director General, Institute of Management Studies (IMS), Noida; Mr. Chirag Gupta, Vice President, Institute of Management Studies (IMS), Noida, Pro. Neelam Saxena, Dean Academics, Institute of Management Studies (IMS), Noida; Rahul Sinha, Founder & President, Shining Souls (Trust); Nitika, Consultant, National Centre for Drug Abuse Prevention (NCDAP), National Institute of Social Defence (NISD), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment; Dr. Shweta Khurana, District Advisor, Tobacco & Substance Abuse Control; Sangeeta Sharma, Assistant Professor & Research Project Supervisor (Drug Abuse), Department of Sociology, G.G.D.S.D. College, Chandigarh, Panjab University; and Dikshant Sharma, DDR Field Expert (R&E) & MV, Chandigarh, Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. India.

The lectures, interactive sessions, and interesting activities will be engaged people with the causes, impacts, and preventive measures of addiction throughout the three-day period of this campaign. Students were made aware of the physical, mental, and social consequences of substance abuse and encouraged to lead a healthier life.

The campaign gained enthusiastic participation from IMS Noida students, academicians, social activists, and addiction experts. It was a great platform to inspire young minds towards active contribution towards the fight against substance abuse. Applauding the initiative, Prof. Dr. Vikas Dhawan, Director General of IMS Noida, said, “Such awareness campaigns are extremely important for today’s youth. The IMS family will always support Shining Souls (Trust) in this noble endeavor.”

Mr. Rahul Sinha, Founder of Shining Souls (Trust) said, “Our mission is to spread awareness among the youth and protect them from the grip of addiction, thereby building a healthier society. ‘UDAAN’ is the first step in this direction and we will continue to expand this initiative further.”

Mr. Chirag Gupta, Vice President, IMS Noida said, “The youth hold the power to shape a drug-free society. With proper guidance, awareness, and a clear sense of purpose, they can lead transformative change, building a future rooted in health, positivity, and progress.

The “Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyan” was to stress the complete negative effect of drug abuse and equip youth so that they would make appropriate, healthier decisions. Under this aim, the campaign states, “Say NO to Drugs, Say YES to Life,” and is going to inspire communities to come together for a drugfree society.

The successful launch of “Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyan” by Shining Souls marks the first step towards the ultimate goal. They intend to free the youth of India from the chains of addiction leading to a healthier and brighter future.
