Indiana University Bloomington, Amity University Explores Areas of Academic Collaboration

  • A delegation from Indiana University took a round of the Amity campus including the Central Library, Amity Innovation Incubator and ASCO Studio

A delegation from Indiana University (IU) Bloomington, USA, visited Amity University Uttar Pradesh Noida campus. The aim of the visit was to foster academic and research collaboration between Amity University and Indiana University.

The delegation comprised of Prof Rahul Shrivastav, Provost and Executive Vice President, Indiana University Bloomington; Prof Hannah Buxbaum, Vice Presiden – International Affairs, Indian University Bloomington; Dr Miguel Allyon, Associate Vice President – International Affairs; Zafeena Suresh Director, Indian University India Gateway, Delhi and Minu Thomas, Programme Manager, Indiana University.

Highlighting the areas of collaboration, Prof Rahul Shrivastav, Provost and Executive Vice President, Indiana University Bloomington, averred, “We are overwhelmed by the warm welcome extended to us by Amity University and we are glad to be present here today. Amity University and Indiana University draw synergies of providing global exposure to the students in the areas of AI, Cyber Security, Quantum Physics, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, and also creative fields such as music, media and other areas. Student and Faculty Exchange Programs, Undergraduate and Post Graduate Programs with a multi- disciplinary approach would go a long way in establishing a mutually beneficial and sustainable relationship between the two institutions.”

Presenting an overview of the Amity Education Group, Prof (Dr) Gurinder Singh, Group Vice Chancellor – Amity Universities, stated, “Amity University would be glad to collaborate with Indiana University in the areas of Dual Degree Programmes, Campus in Campus, Student & Faculty Exchange Programmes, participation of IU students in India Immersion Programme, articulation the areas of Management, Engineering, Biotechnology, Fashion and Law, online and hybrid learning opportunities and participation in INBUSH ERA-2025.”

The delegation took a round of the Amity campus including the Central Library, Amity Innovation Incubator and ASCO Studio. Also present on the occasion were Prof (Dr) Manoj Kumar Pandey, Director, ASET; Prof Sharad Khattar, Professor, AIBS; Dr Meghna Sharma, Professor, AIBS; Dr Seema Bhatnagar, Assistant Director, AIB and Dr Garima Aggarwal, Head – International Collaboration for Engineering & Technology, ASET.
