- IIM Sirmaur and RWTH Aachen University introduce PGPEX-LSM, an advanced executive programme focusing on leadership in smart manufacturing, starting January 2025
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sirmaur has launched a Post Graduate Programme for Executives (PGPEX) focusing on ‘Leadership in Smart Manufacturing’, developed in collaboration with RWTH Aachen University, Germany, aiming to equip senior professionals with necessary skills for Industry 4.0.
The IIM Sirmaur is now accepting applications for the one-year, full-time, residential PGPEX-LSM programme, starting in January 2025, with eligibility criteria and application deadlines available on their official website.
In conversation with BW Businessworld, Dr Prafulla Agnihotri, Director, IIM Sirmaur, stated, “The PG programme focuses on manufacturing management, providing basic finance and cost calculations. It’s in partnership with IIM Sirmaur and RWTH Aachen University, with students spending two terms in India and one in Germany.
The programme offers a limited number of 45 seats.
IIM Sirmaur offers placement assistance for MBA students, with two types: self-sponsored and sponsored by companies.”
In conversation with BW Businessworld, Dr Helmut Dinger, Managing Director, RWTH International Academy at RWTH Aachen University, averred, “Students in this programme in Germany have the opportunity to experience an integrated approach, witnessing Industry 4.0 in demonstration factories and build new job profiles by combining engineering and management.
The programme, consisting of Indian engineering bachelors with at least five years of experience, integrates robotics, automation, logistics and AI, enhancing their understanding of these systems.
