The Northern India Institute of Fashion Technology Mohali (NIIFT Mohali) has started the admission for BVoc Fashion Design and Garment Technology. Interested candidates can register till May 27 at niiftindia.com. The BVoc Fashion Design and Garment Technology programme will be offered only at the Ludhiana campus.
NIIFT Ludhiana is offering a three years degree programme in BVoc fashion design and garment technology, with affiliation from Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar with 25 seats. After the completion of this degree, students can avail various career opportunities including fashion designer, graphic designer, merchandiser in export and buying houses, visual merchandiser, planning and concept manager, garment production manager, garment production quality controller, fashion accessory designer, fashion retail store manager, personal stylist, teacher and trainer, a university spokesperson said.
As per the official website, the registration fee is Rs 1,750 for the general category candidates, while for SC, ST, and PHP category candidates, the application fee is Rs 440.
Applicants must satisfy any one of the given points to seek admission for this course:
- Applicants must have a plus two certificate in 10+ 2 exam pattern , or
- Candidate must have Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects, or
- Applicants must have a three or four -years diploma recognized by AICTE or a state board of technical education, or
- General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri- Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level, or
- Any Public School or Board or University Examination in India or in Foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to the 10+2 system.
