Stellantis, a global mobility technology company, partnered with The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) and Centre for Innovation (CFI), IIT Madras to host a Technical Idea Hackathon to demonstrate the creativity of IIT Madras students and to contribute to cost optimisation initiatives by driving innovation in the automotive sector.
Stellantis and IIT Madras held a technical idea hackathon focusing on cost optimisation for the automobile industry, over 500 engineering students participated with over 100 innovative ideas received, six student innovation teams won cash prizes totaling INR 4 lakhs and teams demonstrated solutions with Citroën India models.
A diverse group of 500+ students from various engineering streams of IIT Madras participated in this week-long event, transforming it into a hub of creativity, collaboration and groundbreaking solutions.
The Ideation Hackathon explored Citroën Smart Car models like C3, eC3 and C3 Aircross, providing valuable insights and sparking creativity for frugal engineering solutions.
6 student innovation teams who demonstrated enthusiasm and frugal engineering were awarded cash prizes for INR 4 lakhs. Ashwani Muppasani, COO, Stellantis India & Asia Pacific gave away the awards to the winning teams and shared Stellantis’ vision of fostering and leveraging industry-academia relations.
