Amity International School Receives National IP Award 2023

  • The school is the first recipient of the special citation for “Atal Tinkering Laboratories, ATL” category

Amity International School, Mayur Vihar, New Delhi has been awarded the ‘National Intellectual Property Award 2023’, becoming the first recipient of a special citation for “Atal Tinkering Laboratories, ATL” category, by Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry.

The National Intellectual Property Awards recognise and reward top achievers for their IP creations and commercialisation, contributing to the strengthening of the IP eco-system and encouraging creativity. This year, the awards introduced a new category ‘Special Citation, Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATL)’. Amity International School won in all five categories for its extensive work in STEM, including conducting numerous activities for students. The school’s state-of-the-art Atal Tinkering Laboratory has the highest number of scientific instruments and facilities for video conferencing and meeting rooms.

“Amity International School, Mayur Vihar has won the National Intellectual Property Award in ATL category, marking a significant achievement in India’s commitment to nation-building through Science & Technology”, Dr. Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity International Schools, said.

Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) has launched the Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) program for four years, aiming to foster curiosity and innovation in young minds aged 6 to 12 using 21st-century tools and technologies. ATLs have been established in 10,000 schools across 680 districts, with over 7,000 schools funded and over 2 million students accessing them. The program aims to stimulate problem-solving and innovative mindset.
