The National Testing Agency (NTA) is ready to announce the dates for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) – Mains, Common University Entrance Test – Undergraduate (CUET-UG) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG) for 2024 exams. The JEE (Mains) could be held in January and April, with a registration window reopening for the April exams.
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2024 will be held in the third week of January and the second week of April. In the first week of May, the common university entrance exam – undergraduate (CUET-UG) will also begin. The Medical and Dental Entrance Exam, NEET-UG will be held on 5 May 2024.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the official dates for these 2024 exams next week, starting with JEE (Mains). This early announcement is a departure from previous years. In 2023, a total of 11.1 million candidates opted for JEE (Mains) and CUET-UG, while there were 20.3 million candidates for NEET-UG.
According to a senior NTA official, the JEE (Mains) registration and exam dates are likely to be announced early next week. The exams take place in the third week of January and the second week of April. The JEE (Main) registration window will reopen.”
The NTA official also noted that the third edition of CUET-UG is scheduled for the first week of May, bringing the dates almost two weeks before 2023. NEET-UG will be held on the first Sunday of May.
