Notably, the IISc Bangalore has introduced certain modifications to the GATE 2024 structure. Among these changes, a fresh paper focusing on Data Science and Artificial Intelligence has been incorporated into the exam. This new paper encompasses a syllabus spanning Probability and Statistics, Linear Algebra, Calculus and Optimisation, Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, Database Management and Warehousing, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
Another alteration involves the exclusion of international exam centres for GATE 2024. This time, the exam will exclusively take place within India’s borders. Even Indian citizens residing abroad and foreign nationals are permitted to participate, but they are required to select examination cities within India. It’s expected that they will manage their own travel and accommodations to attend the exam at an assigned Indian centre as clarified in the official announcement.
Marked on the calendar for February 3, 4, 10 and 11, 2024, GATE 2024 will be conducted by IISc Bangalore. On each of these four days, the exam will be held in two sessions: from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The specifics regarding which test paper will be administered on each day are yet to be disclosed by IISc Bangalore.
Applicants are required to furnish their personal particulars such as name, date of birth, personal mobile number, parents’ names, and more during the application process. Additionally, a valid photo ID must be presented in its original form when appearing for the exam at the designated centre.
