Indian Institute of Management Lucknow celebrated its 39th Foundation Day on 27th July 2023 in the presence of faculty, staff, students and other distinguished guests. The day kickstarted with a tree plantation drive on the campus where directors, Deans, faculty, staff and members of the community came together to plant around 1100 trees on the campus premises.
This year, Amresh Acharya, an Alumnus of IIML 1992 Batch and Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Loylty Rewardz Management Pvt. Ltd. graced the occasion as a speaker and Chief Guest.
Talking to the audience, Acharya reminisced about his time at the institute and how the institute has evolved to keep pace with the tectonic shifts that have taken place over the decades, and yet, the ethos of rigour and diligence that IIML stands for has weathered the test of time. He urged the students, therefore, to work hard, aim high, and have a clear direction for “if you don’t know where you’re going, you might end up someplace else.”
The day came to a close with a grand event in the evening where the employees completing 25 years of service were felicitated and the IIML community came together for an evening of cultural extravaganza.
