Pearson Opens Registration for Undergraduate Entrance Exam 2023

Pearson VUE, the global leader in computer-based testing, opens the registration window for the 2023 ‘Pearson Undergraduate Entrance Exam’ across India and will continue to accept registrations until 31 July 2023.

Exam scores for Pearson VUE’s standardised admissions test of quantitative, verbal, and abstract reasoning are now being accepted by more than 160 universities (General programme) and 120 universities (Engineering programme) across India. The ‘Pearson Undergraduate Entrance Exam’, which launched in January 2021, is aimed at recognising the potential and talent of students in order for them to secure a place at India’s leading universities. Overseas students planning to study in India are also eligible to take the entrance test.

Continuing to support the aim of India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 to improve students’ understanding of core concepts, the highly regarded ‘Pearson Undergraduate Entrance Exam’ aptitude tests (which require no specialist knowledge in any particular subject), are growing in popularity with many university admissions departments.

Suraj Puravankara, Senior Marketing Manager (Asia Pacific)at Pearson VUE, said: “Over the past year, many more universities have recognised the exceptional value that the ‘Pearson Undergraduate Entrance Exam’ brings to the selection process. Within one year, over 110 additional universities have adopted the examination as part of their selection process. This exceptional growth is testament to how our general and engineering examinations benefit the universities with the highest standards in test development as well as access to the best candidates.”

“We continue to see a year-on-year growth in the number of students registering and completing the ‘Pearson Undergraduate Entrance Exam’. This is in part due to the examination process offering candidates greater convenience around testing and with selecting their preferred choice of university. In addition to being able to reschedule at their convenience, candidates can choose between taking their exam at a Pearson VUE™️ Authorised Test Centre (PVTC) or at home via OnVUE, Pearson VUE’s online proctoring solution,” concludes Puravankara.
