- AIIMS New Delhi opens registration for INI CET January 2027 for postgraduate medical and dental admissions, with applications closing on October 13 and the computer-based entrance exam scheduled for November 1.
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi invites applications for the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI CET) for 2027 session. This entrance test is held for admission into PG medical/dental courses in AIIMS and other Institutes of National Importance. Applications are invited online till October 13, 2026 from the official website of AIIMS examinations.
The January 2027 INI CET exam will be conducted for admissions into programs such as Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS), six-year Doctorate of Medicine (DM), six-year Master of Chirurgiae (MCh), Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) and MD in Hospital Administration. The institutes involved include AIIMS, JIPMER, Puducherry, NIMHANS, Bengaluru, PGIMER, Chandigarh, and SCTIMST, Thiruv
Registration procedure for online is scheduled from September 16, 2026 to October 13 up to 5 PM. Applicants will be able to verify their application status from October 17 to 19. Final application status and admit card will be available on October 26. INI CET January 2027 will be held on November 1, 2026.
Admission to the medical courses requires applicants to possess an MBBS degree from an institution recognised by the National Medical Commission with a one-year compulsorily rotating internship. Applicants in the general category and OBC/EWS should be in possession of not less than 55% marks for the MBBS degree, whereas SC/ST applicants should have not less than 50%.

This test will be carried out using a computer-based test that will have 200 objective type questions. The time given for answering these questions is three hours. One mark is awarded for each correct answer while one-third of a mark is deducted for wrong answers.
The candidates are required to fill the online application form properly after uploading the necessary documents and paying the respective fees. AIIMS requests candidates to save the confirmation number and regularly visit the examination website for further updates.
