Suraksha Diagnostics, in collaboration with Medikabazaar–United Imaging (UIH), announced the launch of uAcademy, a comprehensive academic initiative designed to support young consultant radiologists and senior radiology students through structured, case-based, and advanced techno-clinical learning.
uAcademy has been envisioned as a hands-on academic platform that integrates clinical expertise with advanced imaging technology, addressing the growing need for practical, outcome-driven learning in radiology. The initiative aims to strengthen diagnostic accuracy, enhance clinical decision-making, and ultimately improve patient care and outcomes.
The launch event was graced by distinguished dignitaries including Hon’ble Justice Ashim Kumar Banerjee (Retd.), Chairperson, West Bengal Clinical Establishments Regulatory Commission (WBCERC), as Chief Guest, and Dr. Sudipto Roy, President, West Bengal Medical Council, as Guest of Honour, along with leading radiologists, clinicians, and healthcare leaders.
Speaking on the launch, Mr. Jitesh Mathur, Chief Revenue Officer, Medikabazaar, said, “At Medikabazaar, we strongly believe that the future of healthcare lies in continuous education supported by technology. uAcademy is a meaningful step toward creating a robust academic ecosystem where young radiologists can gain hands-on exposure and clinical confidence that directly impacts patient outcomes.”
Highlighting the collaborative vision, Dr. Krishanu Saha, Chief Consultant Radiologist, Suraksha Diagnostics, stated, “uAcademy is not just a learning platform; it is a commitment to raising clinical standards. Through real-world case discussions and access to advanced imaging technologies, we aim to prepare radiologists for the evolving demands of modern diagnostics.”
Emphasizing Suraksha’s academic focus, Dr. Somnath Chatterjee, Chairman & Joint Managing Director, Suraksha Diagnostics, said, “As diagnostics continues to evolve, education must evolve with it. uAcademy reflects Suraksha Diagnostics’ long-term commitment to nurturing talent, strengthening clinical excellence, and contributing to the healthcare ecosystem beyond diagnostics.”
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sudipto Roy, President, West Bengal Medical Council, noted, “Initiatives like uAcademy play a vital role in bridging the gap between academic training and clinical practice, ensuring that young radiologists are well-equipped to meet patient care challenges.”
A key highlight of the event was a panel discussion titled ‘Where Does Radiology Stand Today?’, where senior radiologists deliberated on emerging technologies, clinical challenges, and the future trajectory of diagnostic imaging in India.
The event also marked the formal launch of the uAcademy Learning Centre, reinforcing the shared vision of Suraksha Diagnostics and Medikabazaar–United Imaging to foster education, innovation, and excellence in radiology.
