Government Victoria College, Palakkad, has produced numerous illustrious personalities, and the 1981 batch is no exception in its glamour and distinction. On Sunday, October 5, 2025, the 1981 batch mates are reuniting, and the celebration is aptly christened ViGASM ’81 (Victoria Graduates All Streams Meet). This exclusive get-together of the 1978-81 batch, happening for the first time in 44 years, will take place at the M.B.N. Auditorium in Kinavalloor, starting at 9:00 AM, uniting alumni from all 12 elective streams in a celebration of shared memories and enduring friendships.
This reunion holds special significance as it marks the first time the 1978-81 batch, spanning diverse academic streams, will come together since their college days. The event is a testament to the lasting bonds formed at Victoria College, as alumni from across India and abroad prepare to reconnect, reminisce, and relive their cherished moments.
The uniqueness of ViGASM ’81 is affirmed by prominent alumni, including Shri. Sethumadhavan, former Principal of Chittur Government College, and Shri. Premkumar, former Vice Principal of Government Victoria College. Both have highlighted the unprecedented nature of this gathering, emphasizing its role in renewing the camaraderie and nostalgia of their college years.
The event is being methodically organized by a dedicated steering committee, led by Shri. Sethumadhavan, Shri. Premkumar, Dudley Joseph, John Maliyekkal, Keshavan Unni, K.R. Poulson, Hariharan, and Venkittaramanan. Their efforts ensure a seamless and memorable experience for all attendees.
