The Wonder School (TWS), in collaboration with Aavishkaar Inclusion Centre, is set to host The Unlabeling Conference 2026 on Saturday, March 28, 2026, marking the launch of its year-long initiative, The Unlabeling Project – Discovering Strengths. Designing Pathways.
The initiative aims to challenge predominant myths around neurodiversity and reimagine how children are understood, supported and empowered across homes and schools. In many settings, children are often quickly defined by labels such as “slow,” “hyper,” “difficult” or “different.” While widely used, such labels can unintentionally limit how their potential is perceived. Through this initiative, The Wonder School seeks to shift the narrative—from deficit to strength, from isolation to dignity and from fragmented support to meaningful, structured pathways.
Commenting on the conference, Anamika Dasgupta, Director, The Wonder School Pune said, “At The Wonder School, we believe that every child brings a unique way of learning and experiencing the world. Labels often simplify what is, in reality, beautifully complex. Through The Unlabeling Project, we hope to encourage families and educators to look beyond these labels, recognise each child’s strengths and work together to create pathways where they can thrive with confidence and dignity. This conference is a step towards building a more empathetic and informed ecosystem for our children.”
The upcoming conference will bring together parents, educators, psychologists, therapists, doctors and inclusion practitioners for a thoughtfully curated half-day experience. The event will combine insightful keynote sessions with practical engagement through myth-busting conversations, interactive workshops and experiential learning spaces.
Participants can expect to explore:
- A deeper understanding of neurodiversity beyond diagnosis.
- The importance of early support in building confidence, emotional regulation and readiness.
- The intersection of neurodiversity and giftedness.
- Pathways that enable children to succeed in mainstream environments with dignity and support.
The conference will also showcase Aavishkaar Inclusion Centre, TWS’s early-years inclusion and mainstreaming initiative, along with Praagyam Learning Labs, its gifted education program. Together, these initiatives represent a continuum of support—from early intervention to strength-based acceleration—designed to help every child realise their potential.
The Unlabeling Conference 2026 is envisioned as more than just an event; it is the starting point of a larger movement aimed at bringing families and professionals together to build a more inclusive, informed and compassionate ecosystem for every child.
