Fortune Institute of International Business (FIIB), New Delhi, hosted the 15th edition of its flagship Responsibility Summit, centered on the theme “Educate for Impact: The New Non-Negotiable.” The annual summit brought together academic leaders, social sector representatives, industry experts, and students to deliberate on how management education must evolve to address pressing social and sustainability challenges.
Over the years, FIIB’s Responsibility Summit has emerged as a sustained institutional platform to examine the role of business schools in fostering ethical leadership and long-term value creation. The 15th edition focused on embedding responsibility into the core of management education, emphasizing that impact-driven thinking is no longer peripheral but central to leadership development.
Speaking at the summit, S. Govindaraj, Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, said, “Education must go beyond the transfer of knowledge and focus on building character, accountability, and a deep sense of social responsibility. Institutions play a critical role in shaping leaders who are not only competent but also committed to inclusive progress. True development is measured by how effectively we create opportunities and systems that empower every section of society.”
Speaking at the summit, Dr. Radhika Srivastava, President and CEO, FIIB, said, “Responsibility is no longer optional in today’s business environment. Institutions must equip future leaders with the ability to create economic value while remaining deeply conscious of social and environmental impact. Through initiatives like the Responsibility Summit and our Social Internship Program, we aim to ensure that students experience responsibility not just as theory, but as practice.”
