FOSTIIMA Business School, Dwarka, organized its much-awaited Convocation Ceremony, to confer and award the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) diplomas upon the graduating batches of 2023 and 2024. The Convocation Ceremony was a significant academic achievement, the culmination of years of backbreaking effort, perseverance, and grooming for the students who are now stepping into the corporate sector.
The convocation was graced by high-ranking dignitaries, veteran teachers, students, and their parents and relatives and was thus a day of remembrance and inspiration. Alumnae from across the country returned to their former university with the same feeling of pride and recollection. The university campus was filled with pride, joy, and hope for a brighter tomorrow in the process of construction.
Mr. Anil Somani, FOSTIIMA Business School Chairman, congratulated the graduates and looked forward to the next step. “Though your PGDM journey is coming to an end today, learning does not stop. Though in a world where knowledge becomes obsolete very quickly, you have to keep updating yourselves again and again and remain relevant in a changing world.”
Dr. Deepak Vohra, The Chief Guest, Ambassador, addressed participants with an inspirational keynote address challenging the students as future leaders to become change makers. Ambassador Vohra stated, “As future leaders of the nation, at times you will have to strain to the philosophies of honesty, hard work, and service. There would be problems, but you can address them, as long as you can think creatively and responsibly and have the courage of your conviction, you will not only navigate them, but you will also be empowered to become the leaders of change in India’s continued development.”
The event was also a reaffirmation of the vision of FOSTIIMA to create globally focused, socially responsible, all-round leaders with industry fit. Drawn from the legacy of IIM Ahmedabad alumni, the institution has been able to establish students as successful CEOs of industries on account of its innovative, industry-specific PGDM program.
The ceremony concluded in a festive and celebratory manner. The ceremony perhaps ending formally with the formal conferring of diplomas, heartfelt speeches by the graduating class, and also a thank you to the faculties/mentors for guiding them on their journey to success. The convocation seems to reiterate FOSTIIMA’s core commitment to world-class management education and the responsibility it sees itself playing to develop leaders who will play a meaningful role in business and for society.
