The Heritage School Ushers in Its Silver Jubilee Year with a Heartfelt Celebration of Legacy, Learning and Leadership

The Heritage School, Kolkata, marked a historic milestone on June 25th as it celebrated its 24th Foundation Day, setting the stage for its Silver Jubilee Year with a vibrant, soul-stirring ceremony held on the Heritage campus. What began as a visionary initiative in 2001 has today become a beacon of transformative education – a sanctuary where minds are ignited and hearts are shaped.

The day unfolded with a sacred havan, invoking blessings for the journey ahead. It was graced by the esteemed presence of Shri Vikram Swarup, Chairman, School Managing Committee, and Shri Vikas Agarwal, Trustee, Heritage Group of Institutions. Their presence reflected the continuity of purpose that binds the past, present, and future of this institution.

In a moving inaugural session, the Chief Guest Shri Shekhar Mehta, President (2021–22), Rotary International, addressed the gathering with profound insights on service, purpose, and education beyond classrooms. Sharing the dais were luminaries who have been the pillars of the Heritage vision: Shri H. K. Chaudhary, Chairman, Heritage Group of Institutions; Padma Shri Sajjan Bhajanka, Secretary and Founder Trustee; and Dr. Ayush Goel, alumnus of The Heritage School, NEET Country Topper (2013), and now Consultant Pulmonologist at AIIMS, New Delhi. His presence stood as a shining testimony to the school’s legacy of nurturing excellence.

Also in attendance were Shri Pradip Agarwal, CEO, Heritage Group of Institutions; Shri Probir Roy, Director; Ms. Seema Sapru, Principal, The Heritage School; and Prof. Basab Chaudhuri, Principal, Heritage Institute of Technology — each of whom shared reflections and renewed the collective vision of the institution.

A moment of pride and celebration was the unveiling of the Silver Jubilee logo, a symbolic representation of 25 years of shaping minds and souls. The event also saw the launch of the annual school magazine Vrittant, chronicling a year of achievements, and Samsaran – The Heritage Story, a heartwarming anthology of alumni narratives that reflect the deep emotional and educational bonds nurtured by the school over the years.

The second half of the day was dedicated to the Senior School Prize Distribution Ceremony, celebrating academic brilliance across ICSE, ISC, IGCSE, and IBDP curricula. Toppers were honoured in the presence of over 500 students and parents — a testament to the thriving, close-knit Heritage community that stands strong in values and aspirations.

As The Heritage School steps into its 25th year, this Foundation Day was more than a celebration — it was a reaffirmation of the founding belief that education is the greatest act of hope. It was a day when legacy met promise, when gratitude embraced vision, and when an institution paused to reflect — not just on the milestones achieved, but on the dreams yet to be fulfilled.
