Envalior India marked a meaningful step forward in its corporate social responsibility (CSR) journey with the inauguration of its first STEM Tinkering Lab under the ‘STEM Udaan’ initiative, in collaboration with India STEM Foundation, a not-for-profit organization working to bridge the STEM education and skills gap in India, especially among underserved students. This initiative is hosted at MES SOU Vimlabai Garware High School and Junior College in Pune. It is designed to empower 1500 students from grades 6 to 10 with hands-on exposure to STEM, coding, and tinkering tools that go beyond textbooks.
The lab aims to nurture and shape the natural curiosity of adolescents, ignite innovation, and equip them with the confidence to question, build, and create—irrespective of their socio-economic or gender backgrounds. By offering structured access to tools and mentorship, Envalior is laying the groundwork for long-term equity in STEM education.
The launch event was attended by, Envalior India Leadership Team and India team members, School leadership, India STEM Foundation Team and participating students. Demonstrations by students who had early access to the lab highlighted the energy and potential the space already holds.
On the occasion, Anneleen Drieskens, CHRO of Envalior shared, “Project “STEM Udaan” is rooted in a simple belief—that talent and curiosity should never be limited by circumstance. This lab may seem to be about kits and components, but its focus is building confidence. If a student walks out of here a little more certain that they belong in a lab coat or behind a prototype, we will consider this initiative a working success. We’re proud to support environments where students can question what they see, build what they imagine, and begin to believe that their ideas matter.”
With STEM Udaan, Envalior continues to reaffirm its commitment to inclusive education and sustainable social progress, investing in India’s next generation of inventors, coders, and changemakers. This initiative is part of Envalior India mission to empower communities through education, with 9 operational STEM labs and Clubs across Pune, Gujrat and Uttarakhand, benefiting over 3,000 students.
