Jain University, Kochi is set to launch a free residential summer school program for 60 students chosen from 10th and Plus Two classes. As part of the Future Kerala Mission, the program aims to introduce students to higher education, prepare them for university-level studies, develop leadership skills, and nurture a new generation of young leaders. The summer school is designed to provide talented students with a unique and innovative learning experience. The program will focus on areas such as technology awareness, innovation, budget and resource management, life skills, personality development, crime investigation, and design thinking.
Those interested in participating, must submit a one-minute video either in Malayalam or in English before April 16, explaining why they deserve admission to the summer school- highlighting their passion, curiosity, and interest in learning. The fully residential 20-day program includes interactive activities and sessions with experts who have excelled in various fields. Participants will be provided with free food and accommodation.
“Through the Future Kerala Mission, Jain University is focusing on industry linked education, fostering entrepreneurship, and nurturing a socially responsible society. Along with introducing students to university education, the summer school aims to develop life skills and self-confidence to help them face crucial stages of life, ultimately shaping the good leaders of tomorrow,” said Venu Rajamony, Chairman of the Future Kerala Mission.
Through this program, students will be able to make informed decisions about their future, discover their passions and potential, choose suitable higher education courses, and step into promising careers, said Dr. Tom Joseph, Director of New Initiatives at Jain University. He also noted that the residential summer camp, organized at the university level to build a socially responsible future society, will offer a unique experience for the new generation in Kerala.
