In a groundbreaking endeavour to leave an enduring legacy in the realms of space exploration and satellite communication, the bright and ambitious students of FIITJEE Global School in Chennai have recently achieved a spectacular scientific triumph by successfully launching their very first in-house picosatellite.
They have named this innovative satellite “Astroseed”—a compact yet powerful technological marvel that promises to revolutionize the landscape of future satellite communication, space exploration, and navigation. With its focus on cost-effectiveness and ease of manufacturing, Astroseed embodies a new era of possibilities in space technology.
This momentous occasion was a thrilling highlight for both FIITJEE Global School and the esteemed FIITJEE brand. Over 1,000 enthusiastic spectators, comprising students, parents, educators, and space aficionados, converged to witness the historic launch, marking the first time a school in Chennai has accomplished such a feat.
The remarkable success of this project was the result of the unwavering dedication, creativity, and hard work of more than 30 talented young minds from FIITJEE Global School. They poured their hearts into meticulously designing, constructing, and launching this miniature satellite from the ground up.
Their efforts were finely guided by Dr Natarajan A, a renowned Scientist/Engineer-SF at Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, ISRO, and the Project Manager for the remarkable Gaganyaan and Chandrayaan missions. Dr Natarajan’s invaluable insights were instrumental in navigating the complexities of the project and ensuring its triumphant realization.
