NSDC International Limited (NSDCI), a subsidiary of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), has partnered with IDP India, the distributor of IELTS exams in India, to enhance the global employability of skilled Indian professionals.
This initiative aims to address gaps in skills and language proficiency, enabling Indian professionals across sectors such as healthcare, IT, engineering, and hospitality to compete in global job markets.
Under this partnership, NSDC International and IDP India will jointly implement a learning and testing ecosystem, integrating digital tools, online and offline training modules, and customised programmes. Over the next two years, the programme aims to benefit at least 75,000 skilled professionals, with 20,000 participants expected to attain IELTS certification, enhancing their readiness for international career opportunitie across both domestic and global markets.
The initiative will combine NSDC International’s expertise in skill and vocational training with IDP’s proficiency in English language assessment to deliver tailored programmes and certifications aligned with global employability standards.
Through its testing partner, Planet Edu Exams Pvt Ltd., IDP India will develop integrated English language proficiency training programmes designed to prepare candidates for the demands of international employers. Participants will gain access to advanced digital resources and customised IELTS training modules to enhance their readiness for competitive global job markets. The IELTS Star framework will assess individual learning needs, offer targeted support, and monitor progress, ensuring participants are well-equipped for the competitive international job market.
