- Annual conference on leadership and sustainability brings Industry and academia together
K J Somaiya Institute of Management (KJSIM), has hosted its annual multi-disciplinary conference- Samavaya 2025. Held at the Vidyavihar campus in Mumbai, the three-day event centered on the theme, ‘Purpose-driven Leadership: Disruptions and Sustainability Imperatives.’ The conference brought together eminent academicians and industry professionals from around the world to exchange ideas, build connections, and explore innovative approaches to leadership and sustainability.
A major highlight was the keynote address by Binish Desai, Founder of Reeartham, a renowned environmentalist and social activist, also known as the ‘Recycle Man of India’. Desai shared his journey of transforming industrial waste into eco-friendly products, inspiring attendees with his sustainable solutions for global challenges. The conference was further graced by Justin Paul, Dean SBM & Provost – Management Education at NMIMS, as the Guest of Honour.
The conference included a keynote session, three workshops and research tracks. Over 60 research papers and 10 case studies were presented.
The conference featured workshops led by global thought leaders, including Satish Kumar (IIM Nagpur) on Bibliometric Analysis and Systematic Review,; Murugan Puttusamy (University of Hyderabad) on Advanced Mediation and Moderation Analysis and Sayantan Mukherjee (IIM Indore) on Content Analysis for Qualitative Research.
Samavaya 2025 offered a dynamic platform for faculty, researchers and students to engage with global thought leaders, fostering collaboration and sparking transformative ideas.
