- Unnat P Pandit visited Amity University to discuss intellectual property’s role in fostering innovation and economic growth
Amity Foundation for Science, Technology & Innovation Alliances (AFSTIA) at Amity University Noida hosted Prof. Unnat P. Pandit, Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trademarks, Govt. of India, for a discussion on “The Evolution and Necessity of Intellectual Property in Amrit Kaal: Fostering Innovation and Growth through Academic Research.”
His visit aimed to promote innovation and economic growth by safeguarding and incentivizing the advancement and commercialization of new ideas and technologies.
Addressing the gathering, Unnat P Pandit, Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trademarks, Govt. of India, advised to create a wall and display all the patents granted to Amity, on the wall so that the students can get the inspiration to work hard on developing new technologies and file more patents.

Dr A K Singh, Sr Vice President, AFSTIA, presented a brief overview of ‘Amity University and its Research Ecosystem’ and ‘An Introduction to Amity IPR Ecosystem’ was presented by Dr Smita Sahu, Director- Amity IPR Cell. The Welcome Address was delivered by Dr Neeraj Sharma, Deputy Director General, AFSTIA.
