- Amity University hosts FLAME-2024, a three-day international conference, uniting global experts to discuss future innovations in mechanical engineering and enhancing academia-industry collaboration
Amity School of Engineering and Technology (ASET) at Amity University Uttar Pradesh hosted the 4th Biennial International Conference on ‘Future Learning Aspects of Mechanical Engineering (FLAME-2024)’ from July 31 to August 2, 2024.
Amity University signed a MoU with Universidad de Tarapacá, Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology and Budapest University of Technology and Economics.
The Inaugural Session of FLAME-2024 saw the release of the Conference Proceeding, attended by Dr W Selvamurthy, President ASTIF, HOIs, researchers and students of Amity and Dr Basant Singh Sikarwar, Head-Mechanical Engineering Department, AUUP, Noida.
The conference featured plenary talks by various experts, including Dr K Srinivas Reddy from IIT Madras, Dr N Ranjana from DRDO HQs, Edgar Estupiñan from the University of Tarapaca, Sivarao Subramonian from UTeM Malaysia and Andallib Tariq from IIT Roorkee, as well as keynote talks by Dr Rituprna Datta from Capgemini Technology Services India Limited, Pallab Sinha Mahapatra from IIT Madras and Dr Vikas Kumar from NIT Kurukshetra.
Dr Manickavasagam, Programme Director, Strategic Systems, DRDO, averred, “The Conference provides a great opportunity to interact with researchers from India and abroad. There is a gap between the skill sets possessed by the professionals and requirements of the industry, therefore there is a need to fill this gap and provide new skill sets to the students so that they can be at par with the industry.”
