Sanskriti University celebrated its fifth annual convocation ceremony for the graduands of 2023 at its university campus. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the Former President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, as the Chief Guest. A total of 108 medals and 1482 degrees were awarded to the meritorious students, marking a significant milestone in their academic journey.

The ceremony was further honoured by the presence of distinguished Guests of Honour, including Arun Yogiraj, a leading sculptor; Rahul Sharma, a renowned Santoor maestro; Satya Hinduja, a celebrated sound artist; Udayraj Gadnis, a prominent artist; Krishna Mehta, a textile and fashion designer; and Rochelle Potkar, an acclaimed writer.
The convocation celebrated the academic excellence of its students, with 108 medals awarded to top rankers across various Diploma, Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programmes offered by the university. Additionally, 34 students were conferred with PhD degrees, highlighting the university’s commitment to advanced research and scholarship.

Addressing the convocation, the Chief Guest, Former President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, inspired the graduates with his words of wisdom. He highlighted the importance of giving back to society, stating, “What society has given you, you must return.” Shri Kovind urged the students to work in the national interest and assured them that their success does not depend on their background but on their dedication and intentions. Reflecting on his own journey, he said, “When I started my career in politics, I never imagined that one day I would become the President of India. You too should start your work with good intentions.”

Kovind emphasised the significance of being good human beings who bring pride to the country both domestically and internationally. He congratulated all the graduates, especially the female students, for their achievements and encouraged them to contribute to the nation’s welfare in whatever roles they take up.

During the ceremony, gold medals and degrees were awarded to the meritorious students, recognising their academic excellence. Kovind took this opportunity to remind the students about the importance of maintaining good health. “Half of the country’s population is not engaging in physical activities. In a nation known for yoga and pranayama, this is not acceptable. A healthy body harbours a better mind,” he said. He urged everyone to modernise while staying connected to their cultural roots.

The convocation ceremony concluded with the distribution of degrees and medals. The event was a testament to Sanskriti University’s dedication to academic excellence and its role in shaping the future leaders of tomorrow.
