Meanwhile, the Institute rescheduled the entrance exam dates for multiple courses due to the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. The examination for the admission to JMI is already started. The next exam for students is on June 9 that of MA (Economics), MA(Applied psychology), Diploma in Engineering (regular/self-financed), MBA/MBA (IB) self-financed/MBA (entrepreneurship and family business) (self-financed).
The entrance exams is conducted in multiple shifts in a day — 9:30 am to 11:00 am, 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm, and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
Candidates obtaining less than 30 per cent marks in the descriptive part of the entrance test, wherever applicable, will not be shortlisted for interview and admission. There will also be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the objective type or multiple choice questions in all programmes of the university.
For BTech, admission is offered to eligible candidates as per merit based on the final ranks of candidates in JEE Main 2024, BArch admission will be offered to eligible candidates as per merit based on the final ranks of candidates in NATA 2024 conducted by the Council of Architecture 2024. Admission to the BDS programme will be made based on merit in NEET 2024.
