The Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT-D) is offering scholarships for admission to its Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programmes for the 2024-2025 academic year. IIIT-D provides scholarships for aspiring B.Tech students, including the Chairman’s Scholarship, which offers full or partial scholarships based on JEE Main ranks. Students below 1000 receive a 100 per cent scholarship, while those between 1000-2000 receive a 50 per cent tuition fee scholarship.
IIIT-D has introduced the Women Empowerment Scholarship in STEAM Education (WESSE) to support female students who excel academically. The scholarship offers financial assistance equivalent to 50 per cent of tuition fees. To qualify, students must rank among the top 100 female candidates in the XII Board Exam with an aggregate score over 95 per cent.
IIIT-D provides scholarships for students in their 2nd, 3rd and 4th years who are beneficiaries of the National Food Security Scheme. They also partner with Fast Retailing Japan to offer the Fast Retailing Sponsorship Programme, providing full tuition and dormitory fees for B.Tech programmes, opportunities for Japanese language and culture classes, summer internships and potential full-time offers.

Programme Offerings: IIIT-D offers B.Tech programmes in various specialisations including Computer Science and Applied Mathematics (CSAM), Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence (CSAI), Computer Science and Biosciences (CSB), Computer Science and Design (CSD), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Computer Science and Social Sciences (CSSS), Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) and Electronics and VLSI Engineering (EVE). Admissions Criteria: Prospective students can apply for admission to IIIT-D based on their performance in national-level entrance examinations such as JEE (Main) and other criteria specified by the institute. Additionally, admissions for all B.Tech programmes through Joint Admission Counselling (JAC-Delhi) are now open, with selection criteria primarily based on JEE Main ranks.
Applicants can now apply for the Computer Science and Design (CSD) programme through the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED). UCEED serves as a platform to identify students interested in design, providing Delhi candidates with an alternative route to secure admission to the CSD programme.
Non-science background students in mathematics can pursue a B.Tech in Computer Science and Social Sciences (CSSS), a distinctive offering in the Indian education system, aligned with the NEP 2020’s emphasis on multidisciplinary education.
Bonus point: IIIT-D offers bonus points to enhance students’ admission prospects, awarded for achievements in Olympiads, KVPY, NTSE, sports, cultural activities, innovation and exceptional performance in class XII.
