The IET India Scholarship Award recognises and nurtures future engineering leaders of India. The 8th edition of the IET India Scholarship Award is accepting applications now. In our previous edition, we received phenomenal response from engineering students across the country!
About the IET The Institution of Engineering and Technology (The IET) is one of the world’s largest professional societies for engineers, headquartered in the UK, with over 154,000 members in 148 countries. The India chapter of the IET started operations in India in 2006, from Bengaluru and works closely with industry, academia, and government towards its global mission, and conducts wide-ranging activities that focus on areas such as Future technologies, the Future of Mobility, and Transport, as well as the Future of Work. Shri Ratan Tata, Former Chairman, Tata Sons, N R Narayana Murthy, Chairman Emeritus, Infosys and T V Ramachandran, President, Broadband India Forum (Ex-Resident Director, Vodafone) are Honorary Fellows of the IET.
We plan to bring a telling difference to the overall competency and skill levels within the Indian engineering community and play an influencing role in Industry in relation to technology innovation and solving problems of public importance.
Eligibility for IET India Scholarship Award 2024 To be eligible for the Scholarship Award, applicants must be students of first, second, third or fourth year full time B.Tech programmes in India.
Eligibility Guidelines:
- Any first, second, third year and fourth year full time regular UG Engineering student from an AICTE/UGC approved institution. (Open to students across all engineering branches as recognised by the AICTE/UGC.)
- All regular credit courses must have been cleared in a single attempt by the applicant.
- UG marks should be at least 60% in aggregate for the semesters cleared so far or corresponding to CGPA of at least 6.0 in a 10 point scale
- There is no age limit for the applicant.
- Application is open to IET members, as well as non-members.
- Students from AICTE/UGC approved Institutions and national institutes are eligible to apply for scholarship.
If you are a student member of the IET, you get a 15% additional weightage boost in your application.
