Somaiya Vidyavihar University, in partnership with Al-Qawi, Natasha Jeyasingh and Shaleen Wadhwana, is providing comprehensive support to budding artists through the Immerse Fellowship. This includes funding for travel, art making, open studios, residential programmes, workshops and exposure opportunities, all without any commissions during the sale of artworks at the IMMERSE Annual Show.
The Immerse Fellowship has seen numerous participants secure solo shows in prestigious Indian galleries, serving as a platform for emerging artists to gain exposure and explore new possibilities in the art world.
Siddharth Somaiya, Co-Creator, The Immerse Fellowship, said, “Beyond understanding the art world at large, our residency aims to empower artists with practical tools—copyright law, documentation/ archiving, artist statements, pricing strategies and public speaking.”
