From May 2024, AIMA is introducing MAT 2.0, an evolved version of MAT, which covers newer segments like current business and economic trends. MAT 2.0 is a new-age entrance test that offers a fresh perspective on management education aligned with contemporary industry practices and growing educational requirements.
Daljeet Singh, Director, AIMA, said, “We have received valuable feedback from numerous business schools and stakeholders, urging us to prioritise sections aligning with emerging trends. Consequently, we have made significant adjustments to both the exam questions and structure in consultation with our partner institutions. The advancing landscape of business, driven by the increasing influence of Fintech and technology, has necessitated a paradigm shift in our approach. We are now placing greater emphasis on topics traditionally overlooked in management education, thereby equipping aspiring students with the knowledge and skills essential for success in today’s dynamic business environment.”
The alterations in MAT 2.0 encompass various aspects, including exam structure, content focus and duration. Notable changes include a streamlined exam structure featuring 150 questions to be attempted within 120 minutes, providing candidates with a more focused and efficient examination experience.
Scheduled to be conducted through various modes, including Paper Based Test (PBT), Computer Based Test (CBT) and Internet Based Test (IBT). MAT offers candidates flexibility in choosing a mode that best suits their preferences and convenience.
MAT May 2024 Schedule:
• PBT registrations will close on May 28, with the test scheduled for June 2
• CBT registrations will close on May 19, with the test scheduled for June 2
• IBT–1 registration will close on May 16, with the exam scheduled for May 19
• IBT-2 registrations will close on May 21, with the test scheduled for May 24.
• IBT-3 registrations will close on May 28, with the test scheduled for May 31
Graduates in any discipline or final-year students of graduate courses are eligible to apply. The examination fee for MAT May 2024 is Rs 2,100. Candidates can opt for an additional test mode by paying an extra fee of Rs 1,200. Students can register through the official website.
