GITAM Bengaluru Hosts Global Business Conference

  • GITAM School of Business, Bengaluru, recently hosted its 2nd International Conference, attracting scholars from seven countries to discuss business trends

GITAM School of Business, Bengaluru, hosted the 2nd International Conference on the latest trends in Business Management: Innovation, Technology and Sustainability. The conference aimed to delve into innovative strategies, technological advancements and sustainable practices driving business growth and success in today’s dynamic landscape. The event featured the presentation of over 90 research papers from scholars from seven countries, including the USA, Singapore, Oman, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines and Ethiopia, showcasing the latest developments and insights across various disciplines. The presentations received the ‘Best Paper Awards’ presented by Chief Guest Dinesh A U, Director of HR and Admin at Rittal India Pvt Ltd.

The recipients of the awards include Dr Manisha Seth, Associate Professor at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow, for HR & OB, Gauwdami Poyyamoli, Student at Christ (Deemed to be University), for Operations & BA, Dr Kritika Mathur, Assistant Professor at Dr B R Ambedkar University Delhi, for General Management, Liya Teressa Alex, Research Scholar at the Central University of Tamil Nadu for Marketing Management and Dr Faisal Usmani, Assistant Professor at Vellore Institute of Technology, VIT University, Vellore for Finance & Accounting.

The conference also featured distinguished speakers, including Parthiban Bhavanisankar, Manager – Global Talent Outreach & Engagement at ServiceNow, as the Guest of Honour.

Parthiban Bhavanisankar, stated, “To excel in the current job market, we cannot afford to ignore the role of emerging technologies for ushering innovations.”

Raviseethamraju, emphasised in his keynote address, “In the realm of business, embracing technology must always walk hand in hand with honoring the human element.”

Dr KNS Acharya, Pro Vice-Chancellor, GITAM Bengaluru, in his presidential address spoke about the importance of technology in making informed business decisions and encouraged the participants.
