- Anant National University’s Centre for Public Policy launches its first Policy Compendium, showcasing 16 diverse Indian government policies for analysis and awareness
The inaugural Policy Compendium, an anthology of public policies, is released by the Anant National University Center for Public Policy. The Centre for Public Policy at Anant National University in Ahmedabad is in charge of compiling this list. Dr Sachin Parikh, Joint Director, Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Gujarat and Dr Anunaya Chaubey, Provost, Anant National University, graced the inaugural ceremony as chief guests.
The compilation includes 16 government of India policies covering various topics, including skill development, urban development, transportation, design and culture. To raise awareness of policy concerns and encourage teachers and students to propose and solve policies, this document is meant to be a handy reckoner of policies.
Speaking at the launch of the compendium, Dr Anunaya Chaubey, Provost, Anant National University said, “The chapters within this compendium serve as an invaluable resource for policymakers, urban planners, architects, designers and all those passionate about shaping the future of our built environment.”
Dr Sachin Parikh, Joint Director, Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Gujarat, said “Today, as we unveil the Compendium of Indian Government Policies, we are witnessing the culmination of a vision that goes beyond the traditional boundaries of academia.”
The head of the Centre and founder, Communeeti, Pratyush Prabhakar said, “The Centre is an exercise in bringing in interdisciplinarity in education and strives to nurture future policy professionals coming from diverse fields such as design, architecture and sustainability.”
The Centre for Public Policy at Anant National University is a one-of-its-kind initiative in a design school. It is set up collaboratively by Anant National University and Community, a think-tank based out of New Delhi. An exercise in bringing in interdisciplinarity in education, the Centre works towards training Anant students in public policy.
