T A Pai Management Institute Welcomes New Director

  • Dr Rajeev Kumra, renowned academic joins TAPMI as new Director. His most recent position was as the Dean of Noida campus at IIM Lucknow

T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), Manipal has announced the appointment of Dr Rajeev Kumra as the new Director of TAPMI. He formally took charge on the 2nd of January 2024.

Dr. Rajeev Kumra joins TAPMI from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIML), he was the Dean for the Noida Campus (2018-20) and the Dean for International Relations. He is an academician with a successful track record as a teacher, researcher, trainer and consultant. Dr Kumra is a recipient of nearly a dozen Best Faculty awards at IIM Lucknow and has taught at several international universities as well.

“I am thrilled to embark on this exciting journey as the Director of TAPMI, an institution known for its commitment to excellence in management education and nurturing the next generation of business leaders”, Dr Rajeev Kumra, said.

Dr. Kumra has been honoured with the title of ‘Best Faculty of IIM-Lucknow’ for an unprecedented eleven consecutive times, setting a record in India. Additionally, he has received titles such as ‘Best Faculty of IIM-Jammu’ as well as recognition for ‘Best Elective’, ‘Best Core Course’ and ‘Best Marketing Elective’, accumulating a total of 22 awards in the ‘Best Faculty’ category across various IIMs. He has taught in 6 countries abroad including Kelly Business School, USA; Kedge Business School, France; MIP Politecnico di Milano, Italy and American University of Dubai, Dubai.

He has trained 5000+ managers and more than 400+ companies to date including CEOs, Founders and IRS officers. He serves as a board member and an advisor to six companies and universities. He has provided strategic consultancy to more than 26 private and public sector companies and the Government of India.

Over the years, Dr. Kumra’s case studies are listed at Harvard Business School, USA and Richard IVEY, Canada. He has published in the ‘A’ category academic journals. His research appears in the Journal of Business Research, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Information Technology & People, Journal of Macro Marketing, International Journal of Consumer Studies, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, Journal of Consumer Marketing, Personality and Individual Difference, Young Consumers, Journal of Global Marketing, Journal of Financial Services Marketing and Journal of Management and Organisation. He has published a book on consumer behaviour.
