ASSOCHAM and EPSI organised a National Conference on Education with a theme “Vision 2030 for Education & Skill Formation” on 28 June 2019 at Hotel Taj Mahal, Man Singh Road, New Delhi. Dr K P Krishnan, Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (India), Government of India was the Chief Guest of the National Conference.
The aim of the conference was to submit strategic recommendations to the Government on “Vision 2030 for Education & Skill Formation” focusing on the following areas.
- Revamping Higher Education: Partnering the Progress and Growth – Chaired by Padma Shri Dr. Pritam Singh, Ex-Director – IMI New Delhi, MDI Gurgaon & IIM Lucknow and Co-Chaired by Dr. (Prof.) Anand Prakash, Professor of Psychology-Delhi University.
- Skilling Architecture: Setting the Eco-System for Employability and Livelihood – Chaired by Prof. Vinayshil Gautam, Senior Adviser-TRIFED, Founder Director-IIM (K), Kozikhode, Founder Coordinator, Entrepreneurship Programme and First Head, Dept. of Management Studies-IIT (D) and Co-Chaired by Mr Raj Nehru, VC-Shri Vishwakarma Skill University.
- Rural Transformation through Education: The Road Ahead – Chaired by Dr G. D. Sharma, Secretary (Retd.) – UGC and Co-Chaired by Ms Lata Vaidyanathan, Chairperson-Made Easy School.
The final report on “Vision 2030 for Education & Skill Formation” was released which includes measures that can be taken up by the Government and those that can be taken up by ASSOCHAM and EPSI. The document was released in the august presence of the Senior Government Officials, Chancellors, Vice-Chancellors, Industry and Sector specialists during the National Conference and the same will be presented to the Government / State Governments and UT’s as recommendations from ASSOCHAM and EPSI.
